Thank You, Grammy!

My aunt made a super cute reversable skirt pattern for her girls. I was curious if it came in a maternity size. My mother took it upon herself to make me and Madi skirts. Thanks a ton!! Madi's is reversable, mine is not. They turned out super cute! We wore them to church today and recieved plenty of compliments on them. I'm super grateful because it's super hard for me to find materinty skirts.

Children's Museum

Last week, Carson, Madi & I went to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. I wasn't thinking... it was a Friday in mid May. There were at least 3 buses having end of the year field trips. Other than that, we had a great time. For anyone who hasn't been, it's an old 3 story building filled with interactive things for children to do. It's great for kids under 5yrs. My favorite parts were the 3yrs and under room and the pretend grocery store. I had to show Madi how to us the shopping cart. She then proceeded to steal a cart from a child while he wasn't looking and fill it with produce. Also there is this super cool part. They hung about 100 or more foam pool noodles on ropes. You get to walk through them. It's kind of like a blind maze. You can't see where you are going, only noodles all around you. The worst part of it for me didn't even have anything to do with the museum itself... About 30 min. after we got there I realized I split the seat of my pants! They were my favorite maternity pants, too! Also, there was no way we were leaving... It cost $9 a person (anyone over 1yr) to get in. I couldn't just blow that money. So, I spent the afternoon hugging walls, hiking my pants up as high as possible & tugging my shirt down. All in all we had a good time. I think I'm going to gte a year membership. It's a lot cheaper that way & Madi seemed to like it a lot.

Mother's Day Weekend

So we were going to go camping, but instead we went to see Carson's brother in Kingman. (He's normally in Montana & you can't miss seeing your family when they are that close) We also had to get our 4-wheeler to Jerob (Carson's brother) to take back to Carson's mom. So we ended up driving our old truck. Mind you I love our old truck. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but the a/c went out about a week ago & the trip to Kingman is about 3 1/2 hours in this truck. It was a hot trip.

We had fun. We got to spend time with a family Jerob met on his mission. Carson and Jerob helped them cut 3 of their studs. Madi thought the whole things was great... horses, dogs, cows, open space to run in, and plenty of old equipment and pens to explore.

I tell you... I think Carson is good looking, but he looks best when he's in his cowboy garb and doing some form of ranch work. Nothin's better than a hard workin' man!

On our way out of town we stopped at a park to look at an old train. It was pretty cool. You could look inside the engine.

All in all we had a preety good trip.

Face Time

Madi loves the camera. She always wants to see her picture. It's getting to the point where I can't get a good shot because she holds still for one second then runs to look at the camera. These are a few of the good shots I have been able to get recently.

Oh what do you do in the summer time...

It's been in the triple digits for the last 2 weeks! UGH!! So we have taken advantage of the not too hot weather and played in the water almost every day. This fountain is within a few miles from my house & best of all, it's free. They are always a little timid at first, but then Madi and Tristen absolutely love it.
