Super Day

Madi was playing with a Batman "action figure" today. While she was making him fly around the room she stated, "I wish I had a cape."

"Well, why can't you," I thought.

I looked through what fabric I had & pulled out an old sheet that just lost it's elastic. (A simple fix, but also a good excuse to cut it up & play.)

I look like a what?

In high school, I ran track. My mom would watch me run. She always said I looked like a gazelle.

Today, I did it!

I ran 8 miles.

It only took me 1 hr 20min.

That's the longest run I've ever ran.

Sure am glad they're mine!

Otherwise, I'd have a hard time giving them back.

We fished, we played in the water, we cooked outside, we chased and caught fireflies, and this time- we slept outside.

We got the kids some new boots and hats. I can't get over how cute they are! I don't have any pictures of Madi yet, but here's Cal. . .

I am WOMAN!

This happened a while ago. (our broiler unit exploded-or just melted-not sure which) I ordered the new part and, since my husband wasn't home, I proceeded to take out and replace the damaged goods. I'm proud to say that 1 internet search, 1 phone call to Dad, and 20 min. later, it's done. I turned it on and it does work, but I haven't cooked anything yet. I'll keep you posted on wether the house burns down or not.
