It would be awesome to have Madi potty trained before the baby came! However, I've been hesitant about it, because she doesn't seem to have an interest in using the potty. She's cool to sit on it for a while, but then asks for her diaper. So today I decided we are going to be proactive about it & be consistent. I went and bought her bed time panties (pull-ups) & sesame street panties. I planned on starting her training next week, but she had to put on her "elmo panties". So I guess tonight is our trial run. Pray for me...

Thanks Lori!
So as most of you know I watch a little boy, Tristen, about 4 days a week. I used to work with his mom at the optometrist office. Well they just got back from vacation and brought us gifts. Not necessary, but greatly appreciated. Not only was it great to get unexpected presents, but they are super awesome presents to boot! (not an "all I got was this shirt")
For me . . .
At first I thought it would be a shirt or prego-dress. Lori, Tristen's mom, knows me better than I thought. She bought me a wicked sweet apron.

Great Father
So I'm super lucky not only do I have a great husband, but he's also a great father. Carson's always been pretty fun with Madi. Lately, however, he's been the ultimate fun dad. He gets down on the floor and roughs around with her. It's great! There's nothing better than hearing Madi's super silly laugh when she's playing with Carson.

Cal Update
30 weeks . . . 10 to go . . .
(or less, cross my fingers) We'll we have been slowly but surely preparing for the arrival of our Baby Cal. So far everything has been normal and healthy. I passed my glucose test with flying colors. (I'm always a little worried about that one) I'm starting to get pretty excited. I decided to put up by 1st official Baby Cal decorations.
Here is a close up . . .If you weren't aware, we are having a cowboy theme for this baby. With a husband like Carson I really had no other choice.

Sisters
So, while on our trip we had one night that all my sisters we there. We couldn't miss the photo opportunity. I think the last time we were all together was at my little sisters wedding... over a year ago.
This is one one of my favorites.
Laura told Emily and I to make this same face... obviously we didn't...
Don't worry that we were being so silly Mom had to get after us so she could get a nice picture.
Three generations of women... watch out world!
Hurray for Vacation
So we just got back from a wonderful trip to Utah! I couldn't have asked for better weather! I don't think it got above 90 or below 50 degrees the entire time. I was in heaven!
We started out camping at Maple Grove. It's a small campground close to Scipio, Ut. We had lots of fun seeing my dad's side of the family. We spent most of the time sitting around tell embarassing stories. Madi had a great time getting to know her grandparents, aunties, and cousins. The best part of this campout was when Carson, Madi, Lolly and her boyfriend (at the time) and I went for an easy walk/hike & left the trail. It was beautiful & we found the foundation for an old cabin. However, on the way back, we stumbled upon a rattle snake! Scary stuff. I was able to stay pretty calm. (Carson grew up hunting snakes, so I knew we would be fine) Lolly was pretty nervous, but her boyfriend totally freaked. He pushed past & practically jumped over Lolly, Madi & myself to run down the trail, while screaming for everyone to get the heck out of there. Lolly and I laughed so hard we both had to cross our legs and lean on a tree to keep from wetting our pants. I've never seen anyone, let alone a guy, so scared of snakes in my life... and I'm pretty terrified of them.
After 2 1/2 days, we headed up to a family owned cabin in Weber Canyon. Only my immediate family was there. It was nice to hang out as adults. We got to walk in the ice cold creek, hike to a waterfall, feed horses, and just relax.
After that, Carson, Madi and I head to Cedar City. Carson helped my brother-in-law, Todd, put in some new windows. I hung out with my sister & Madi enjoyed the day with cousins.I loved watching Madi interact with her cousins. They are at least 2 yrs older than her, but it was fun to watch her trying to be like them.
All in all we had a great time!
